Dear Taylor,

Recently I have been working as a newspaper editor in Canada West. People have been buying lots of papers because of the confederation. These days I can hardly keep up with the newest paper. Well, I guess that's what you have to do for your job.

The political deadlock is making it harder to pass bills. They want representatives by the population. Many people are now in days farming. With our growing population, over 80% of the people in Canada West, they are farmers. Farmers are getting more machinery, and small companies are being built.

There is a possibility that the Fenians will attack. We will have to be ready for the unexpected. So I have heard that they will plan to attack by the Niagara River, and around the St. Lawenrce river.

Our population is growing. We now have more then 1 365 000 people in Canada West. Hopefully this confederation will end, and we can go back to our normal lives. The confederation in my point of view should no effect the people that are not involved. If the soldiers want to disturbed other peoples land, so be it. When I am writing letters to my family because I had to leave to come work here, that doesn't make since. I don't want to be here, I want to be with my family.

Well one of my daily customers just came in. I shall give you another letter soon. Take care my family, I will be with you soon enough.
